Jenne, was Madelyn

In the summer of 2017 I lost of my long-time canine companion. My life and house was empty. And so, I began the search. After weeks of prowling rescue sites, I finally saw a photo that grabbed my heart: Madelyn, a fearful corgi-mix pup with the most magnificent ears. She was rescued from a high kill shelter where she was going to be euthanized because she was too fearful to be adoptable. PUP took a chance, rescued her, and fostered her with a woman who rehabilitates dogs. After a short visit to meet and greet, I brought Madelyn home: small house, just me, a walkable neighborhood with a congenial pack of rescue dogs, lots of holes to dig, and squirrels galore!
She soon adapted to life in the ‘hood. Jenne, as we now know her, is loving, energetic, and totally entertaining. She is still shy of strangers but has a wide network of friends. On our long walks around the neighborhood, often with others of the pack, she is interested and aware of everything. (Those ears are super-functional!). She is such an amazing little dog! I cannot imagine life without her. Life is good! THANK YOU PUP!!!!
When searching for a companion please don’t overlook the shy and fearful. With love and patience they can blossom and fill your life with joy.
