Adopt from PUP Dog Rescue
PUP is dedicated to finding the best homes possible for the dogs and cats in our care. Our commitment to potential adopters is to provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding the health and behavior of our pets. We strive to make each match a success based on the needs and personality of the dog and the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter.

We talk with potential adopters and arrange for meetings once their applications are approved and they seem to be the best match for a particular dog or cat. Meetings with our pets are scheduled at a mutually agreeable time and location or at one of our adoption events. Please visit our Facebook page for information on our next event. All members of the family, including current dogs and cats, must meet to help ensure a good match before an adoption can occur.

Can I adopt a dog from PUP if I am not a local resident?
Currently we adopt anywhere within the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and internationally, Canada, as long as all household members can drive to the Seattle area to meet with us.
Is the dog or cat Iím interested in still available?
We update the availability status of our dogs and cats quickly. A dog or cat is available unless "Adopted" is listed beside their name in the profile.
Will you hold a dog or cat for me?
Our goal is to place dogs and cats in suitable homes as quickly as possible to create room for pulling other homeless pets into our program. Therefore we do not put holds on adoptable animals.
Where are your dogs and cats?
We have no central shelter. Our dogs and cats are in various foster homes in Western Washington and Bend, Oregon.
What are your adoption fees?
Our adoption fees range from $75-$600.
How are adoption fees determined?
Here is a general overview of how our adoption fees are determined. They are based on a dog's or cat's age, breed, temperament, training, and health. We don't have a central facility, so all of our animals receive individualized care and training in our foster homes prior to adoption. We have numerous ongoing expenses for veterinary and general care. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, microchipped, and receive a dental if needed. Some also require other types of surgeries, medications, and special medical care. In addition, we have expenses for transportation, food, crates, and other supplies. If we're lucky, we break even and are able to sustain ourselves as a rescue group. We're glad you asked and hope this helps to answer your question.
Will my money be returned to me if I adopt a dog or cat and it doesn't work out?
Adoption fees are nonrefundable.
What if I still have a question that isn't answered here or on the adoption application?
