Pria (FKA Clover)
Posted on June 13, 2016
It's been 2 weeks since we brought Pria (FKA Clover) home to be a part of our family. The transition has been very smooth for all of us. Within 3 days I was getting tail wags & kisses from this shy girl! Pria gets along very well with her furry sister & brother and has played very well with the dogs of friends that have come over. She loves her huge yard for running and play and has already begun retrieving a small tennis ball. She has been on 3 hikes, numerous walks and seems to really enjoy her outings. Pria has proven to be adventurous, loyal, loving and athletic. Because she is very shy around people she doesn't know we will be working on social skills. Part of that work will be in Manners classes we will begin in July.
In the fall we will begin FlyBall class in hopes she will be joining the team one of my other dogs runs on. We are already working on some of those skills and she is doing great! Pria will have a big life as part of our family and we are thrilled she is with us! Thanks to everyone at PUP for all you do for the pets looking for forever homes. And a special thanks to foster mom Hayley for all you did to give Pria a wonderful start. Without all your love I don't think she would be showing me so much trust so quickly.
Thanks! Jan & Pria

I wanted to let you know how well Pria is doing in her new home and the big life she is leading! She is attending Manners classes and doing very well. She has been to the dog park numerous times and is such a friendly girl to all the other dogs!
This past week we spent 3 days in Salem, OR at a Flyball tournament. This was her first time traveling in our motor home and attending a very noisy tournament. It took a while for her to get used to the motion of the motor home, but she did great. Flyball tournaments are extremely loud with hundreds of barking dogs, people cheering and judges whistles going off. By Sunday she was a pro at dealing with all the activity.
Today we hiked almost 5 miles and the dogs had a chance to play in a shallow area of the Green River. Pria had a lot of fun running and exploring in the water. I'll find out if she can swim when we have a chance to visit a calm but deeper area. The photos attached are from today's hike.
Please pass on this update to foster mom Hayley. The little girl she cared for is doing well and is very loved!
