Adopt from PUP
PUP is dedicated to finding the best homes possible for the dogs in our care. Our commitment to potential adopters is to provide accurate, up-to-date information regarding the health and behavior of the dog(s). We strive to make each match a success based on the needs and personality of the dog and the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter.
The first step toward adoption from PUP is to email a completed Download Word Doc version OR Download RTF version). We talk with potential adopters and arrange for meetings once their applications are approved and if they are the best match for a particular dog. Meetings with our dogs are scheduled at a mutually agreeable time and location or at one of our adoption events. All members of the family, including current dogs, must meet to help ensure it's a good match before an adoption occurs.to (
Frequently Asked Questions:

- Is the dog I’m interested in still available?
All dogs are available unless it states "Adopted" beside their name in their profile.
- Is the dog I'm interested in still available?
We update the availability status of our dogs quickly. A dog is available unless "Adopted" is listed beside their name in their profile.
- Will you hold a dog for me?
Our goal is to place dogs in suitable homes as quickly as possible so we can pull other homeless dogs into the program. Therefore we do not put holds on adoptable dogs.
- Where are your dogs?
We have no central shelter. Our dogs are in various foster homes around the greater Seattle area.
- What are your adoption fees?
Our adoption fees range from $75-$500.
- How are adoption fees determined?
Here is a general overview of how our adoption fees are determined. They are based on a dog's age, breed, temperament, training, and health. We don't have a central facility, so all of our dogs receive individualized care and training in our foster homes prior to adoption. We have numerous ongoing expenses for veterinary care. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, wormed, flea treated, microchipped, and receive a dental if needed. Some also require other types of surgeries, medications, and special medical care. In addition, we have expenses for transportation, food, crates, and other supplies. If we're lucky, we break even and are able to sustain ourselves as a rescue group. We're glad you asked and hope this helps to answer your question.
- Will my money be returned to me if I adopt a dog and it doesn't work out?
Adoption fees are nonrefundable.
- What if I still have a question that isn't answered here or on the adoption application?
